July 2025 Update

We have a new update from Microsoft for July. There are quite a few older things that are now out of preview and generally available and that’s kind of it. So not too much to jump up and down about but good to be aware of.

Populate Dates Automatically From Marketing Forms in Customer Insights Journeys

Have you ever had the need for someone filling out one of your marketing forms to populate a date field? Or do you have a hidden field that you want to have todays date so you know when something happened? This post will show you how you can populate dates automatically in a date field on your real-time marketing form. It’s quick and simple but can help you out with extra historical information on a Lead or Contact record.

No More Manual Updates: Automatically Sync Brand Profile and Sender

Pauline is back with a blog! This time, it’s a way to add a handy button on your Brand profile records that will go through and update all emails linked to the brand profile to update anything new. This doesn’t happen by default so a good way to automate things!

Don’t Hit Send Until Using This Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Checklist

I love a good checklist, and even better if it helps you make sure your journeys and emails are set up to send messages that will get to their intended recipients every time. This list from Daniel Norris (including a downloadable print version) is a great way to remind yourself of everything before you hit send. Nice one!

Events

If there are any upcoming events relating to Marketing, they will go here!

Nordic Summit 2025

Nordic Summit is as an in-person conference with a full-day pre-conference, taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden, on the 19th and 20th of September 2025. It’s such a great event and still has that small community vibe but with big impact in terms of the sessions and speakers offered. Plus, Sweden is such a beautiful place to visit!

The State of Email

Litmus have a 2025 report covering The State of Email. It’s a nice solid document based on surveys of nearly 500 marketing professionals and covers insights on how brands are transforming customer connection through smarter email marketing. You need to fill out a form to download it, but considering the value, I think it’s worth doing!

Social media sentiment analysis guide: how to build a strong brand in 2025

I thought this was an interesting article, found thanks to The Marketing Meetup newsletter. This post is all about social media sentiment, and specifically how do people FEEL about your brand. What are they sharing online, and is it positive, negative or indifferent (sometimes worse!). Good one to check out.

5 Common Email Marketing Mistakes (And What You Can Do About Them)

This article is an older one, but I found it linked to in the post from ServerSys (mentioned above in this newsletter). This is from Litmus, which hopefully you’re aware of as there is an integration to it in Customer Insights – Journeys. This post is good! They tested five million emails and put together are the top five most common email mistakes they see (and how to fix them).
