Hi lovely reader!

Biggest news from last week? Wave 2 2025 release notes are out, so we have lots of content covering the planned features and functionality.

Don’t miss my post on how to get your Meta Leads into Customer Insights Journeys – including the updated consent setup! As part of that blog, I set up accounts on Facebook and Instagram so I could create some ads.

They’re a bit pitiful at the moment with single-digit followers 😅. If you want to help, be sure to follow! I’ve also add a Socials page to the site so you can follow along there too. I’ll be posting new content specifically on Instagram that might be of interest.

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by sending a message via the online contact form using the navigation link above. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

Wave 2 2025 Customer Insights Journey Chat With Amey Holden

The release notes for Dynamics 365 Wave 2 2025 have been published. My good friend Amey Holden and I got together to chat about each proposed change or new feature from the Customer Insights – Journeys section (formerly D365 Marketing). We talk through what each of us thinks of the new proposed features from Microsoft and share ideas with each other that we hadn’t necessarily thought of!

Add Facebook Leads With Consent To Customer Insights Journeys

While scrolling through Instagram recently, I saw an ad for a newsletter for cat knowledge and tips. As the owner of two kittens, I thought why not! It was good ad placement and I also wanted to see how their ‘subscribe’ option worked. I clicked the button and it pulled in my name and email from my Instagram account and said I was subscribed. I didn’t get any kind of confirmation email, and it was well over a week before I got anything from them. So I wondered how that process could be improved and how it all might work in conjunction with Customer Insights – Journeys.

Create a Case or a Lead from a marketing form in Customer Insights - Journeys

Hooray! Amey is back with a new post, this time it’s about how to create a case OR a lead from a marketing form in Customer Insights – Journeys. Her reason? Many websites have a generic ‘contact us’ form on their website which could serve a variety of purposes, some of these may be lead such as enquiries about products or a request for a quote. But it could also be something better handle by the customer service teams such as a problem with an purchase, feedback or complaints. These are definitely not leads but often come in via the same form.

Feature allowing us to leverage CI-J interaction data without Fabric has been revoked

I noticed this post on LinkedIn from Pauline Kolde where she shared something she had seen about the neat workaround many of us used, like exporting outbound insights to Blob Storage for Power BI reporting, is no longer supported for Real-time Marketing. For more information check out her post which includes links to the original blog post (which has been updated) and the official documentation on using Fabric.
