Hi lovely reader!

Some cool things this week related to BIMI Logos, using Data8 for address auto populate on your forms, and preventing duplicate event registrations.

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by sending a message via the online contact form using the navigation link above. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

BIMI For Realtime Emails: Get Your Logo Showing In Their Inbox

Are you wondering what the heck BIMI For Realtime Emails is? It stands for Brand Indicators for Message Identification. If you have a personal email address and use something like Gmail or Yahoo (or one of many other email clients) you will have seen this in action, a brands logo right there to the left side of their email address at the top of the email. It’s a way to increase brand recognition or build trust so the recipients of your emails know it’s truly come from you. In a world where spamming and spoofing is increasing, it shows people the message is legitimate and definitely from your domain. My interest was peaked when I noticed a documentation page from Microsoft that related to Customer Insights – Journeys so I dug in to it further. In this post I will walk through what it is, how it works, and what the set up process looks like.

Address Validation On Your Realtime Marketing Forms Using Data8

If you are collecting address information on your Realtime marketing forms in Customer Insights – Journeys, wouldn’t it be nice to get those addresses validated before adding them to your Dynamics 365 environment to make sure the data is accurate? Also, sometimes it’s a nice little helper for the person submitting your form so they don’t have to type out each line of their address. In addition, which field do I use for which part of the address, and adding the country is confusing especially for those in the UK. Do I put England, United Kingdom, Great Britain 🙄? What about having a nice control that auto populates addresses as you type? Well using the address validation and the predictive address autocomplete functionality from Data8 can help. Hooray! Another new blogger, great to welcome Martin to the newsletter for the first time. This post is all about finding a way to limit the registrations for an event to one per person using Customer Insights – Journeys. In this post Martin has shared an approach to limit the registration process by checking if a person is already registered for the event. Nice work!
