March 2024 Update
MICROSOFT
It’s that time, an update from Microsoft with the March release of Customer Insights – Journeys (D365 Marketing). There aren’t many items in this release, but there are two big items that people have been waiting for some time to get their hands one. The ability to manage consent from a Lead or a Contact record, and the ability to build custom reports using the data in the marketing app.
Access To Manage Consent From Lead And Contact Records
MEGAN V. WALKER
The March 2024 release for Customer Insights – Journeys includes a much awaited for feature. The ability to manage consent from Lead and Contact records is finally here! It is this feature from the Wave 1 2024 release plan, and the documentation can be found here. However, with many things, there is more to learn and understand about a feature than just what is in the documentation, so in this post I will dig in to it further including how to use it, what security levels are needed to see and use it, and how to add it to a custom form. All that goodness in one post, so let’s get to it!

JAKE CHEN
Are you ever missing email interactions when you know there should be some? In this post from Jake, he explains why this might be the case, and directs you to check your set up for the Tracking purpose on a Compliance Profile. A good one to understand!

This post carries on from a previous one, where Renée covered steps to organising events. In this one, she is taking a closer look at the invite process specifically. Great article covering logical steps and scenarios that you might want to implement as part of your own event management process.
Compliance Profiles: The Basics
KELLY SIMPSON
In this post, Kelly takes a look at Compliance Profiles and making sure the importance of capturing compliance on a per-channel basis. It’s the Compliance Profiles that are used to manage consent and if someone WANTS to get content from you. A good refresher for some too!

NORDIC SUMMIT
Nordic Summit is one of my favourite events and I have been lucky to present as a speaker there on two occasions. Their call for speakers is now open until the end of April for the event that will be held on 28th September in Oslo, Norway. Definitely check it out and plan to go if you can!
