Hi lovely reader!

This issue is ALMOST all about one major thing, the Wave 1 2025 Release notes that were made public on Thursday last week. I’ve got a round up for you of all the various posts on the subject from Microsoft and others sharing their thoughts and opinions on the features included. Do you have a favourite new feature yet? What are you most looking forward to?

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by sending a message via the online contact form using the navigation link above. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

Release Planner - Customer Insights - Journeys

I’ve mentioned the release planner from Microsoft in previous issues but it’s worth sharing again. I think it gets forgotten about with all of the noise when the wave updates get published, but this will let you dig through and see exactly what is getting launched when, and also when things are removed or adjusted in the timeline.

Wave 1 2025 Customer Insights Journey Chat With Amey Holden & Megan V. Walker

The release notes for Dynamics 365 Wave 1 2025 have been published. My good friend Amey Holden and I got together to chat about each proposed change or new feature from the Customer Insights – Journeys section (formerly D365 Marketing). We talk through what each of us thinks of the new proposed features from Microsoft and share ideas with each other that we hadn’t necessarily thought of!

Enable Attendees to Cancel Their Own Registrations in D365 Customer Insights Journeys: Part 1

It makes me happy to see a new post from Carl, and this one is very interesting. Although it’s not for beginners, Carl has shared all of the steps needed to build a process allowing people to cancel an Event Registration they might have. This hasn’t been possible (although holding out hope that one of the new Wave 1 items would cover it) with Realtime so sometimes we just have to dig in and make it happen ourselves.

Marketing Website Visited Trigger Glossary in Customer Insights Journeys

If you start to think about using either the Marketing Website Visited trigger or the Marketing Website Clicked trigger, you would be confused for scratching your head wondering what all of the attributes are. How do you know which to use in your trigger conditions and what the returned values might be? Fear not, I’ve done the hard work and gone through to find out what information is passed back in each one. This post is a Marketing Website Visited trigger glossary.
