Hi lovely reader!

Lots of new things going on in the February release for the marketing app, so if you’ve not got that installed yet (and Microsoft haven’t pushed it out to your environment), make sure you see what’s included, and get that added soon!

As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by sending a message via the online contact form using the navigation link above. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.

Now let’s get on with the newsletter!

February 2025 Update for Customer Insights - Journeys

This release snuck in right after the newsletter went out last week, so it’s been available for a week. There are some great new features in public preview including some long awaited options for templates, and features for event portals. Make sure you take a look to learn what will be on the way to your environment (or maybe it’s already there!).

Exit Customer Voice Survey Respondent From Journey When Using Other Regarding Records

One of the cool things we can do with triggers is generate custom invitation links for a Customer Voice survey and put someone in a Journey to send them an email with a link to complete that survey. That’s a pretty common approach, and one I’ve implemented many times. What is a little less common is taking someone out of the Journey if they have completed the survey. That way you can send a reminder to anyone who hasn’t already shared their feedback. This post came out of the realisation that the out of the box trigger, OR a Dataverse trigger won’t do the job for all occasions to exit customer voice survey respondents. I’ll explain why and then share how to work around this.

Multi Versus Single Select Sessions in Events

In this post from Renée, she looks at a great business use case where you might have a multi-day event but people should only be able to register for and attend one day. She has shown us how to set up the event, allow for registering for single sessions only, adding the form and then best ways to optimize the experience.

The Marketing Meetup Conference

If you are looking for a full all marketing conference rather than a Power Platform or Dynamics event that might have a couple of sessions around marketing, this might be one for you. It’s in London March 20th from 9 am to 5 PM. So if you can get there, and your boss will cover the cost, check this one out!
