Welcome to the issue this week! It will be the last one for a few weeks while I take a bit of a summer break. Let me know if you see anything I should share in an upcoming issue while I am away!
As always, if you spot anything you think would be worth a mention, just let me know by sending a message via the online contact form using the navigation link above. Always good to know of others posting about D365 Marketing or if you see anything else other marketers should know about.
Now let’s get on with the newsletter!
D365 Marketing
No more Outbound Marketing - date announced
Microsoft
Information just out from Microsoft. They have announced that outbound marketing will be removed as of June 30, 2025. To avoid any business continuity issues, all customers still using outbound marketing must transition to real-time journeys before this date. They will also remove social posting and LinkedIn lead generation capabilities on December 2, 2024.

Customers with customizations to the Compliance Profile Form may experience failures during the double opt-in setup for compliance.
Microsoft
We’ve mentioned that double opt-in is available in Real-time but there is a known issue that was documented by Microsoft and added to the known issues section under help and support in the Power Platform Admin Center. There are actually three different articles about known issues that relate to the double opt-in feature. If you have access to the PPAC, filter on product category for Customer Insights Journeys to take a look.

Track Site Visits From D365 Marketing Emails In Microsoft Clarity
Megan V. Walker
This post is about using a combination of D365 Marketing (Customer Insights – Journeys), Microsoft Clarity, Google Tag Manager and GA4 (Google Analytics) and tracking visitors to your website from the email sent out in your Journeys. Using these tools, we can review recordings and heatmaps for visitors that have come to our website specifically because they clicked on a link in one of your emails. This will leverage the UTM tracking functionality in Realtime marketing. So let’s get started!

Celebrating One Year Of Blogging
Pauline Kolde
I think this one is interesting because it shows one persons journey of starting out with learning the marketing app and all its functionality, then starting a blog and changing their path to becoming a Microsoft MVP. Pauline has written about her past year showing where she started and where she is now. Keep writing and sharing Pauline!

Events
Microsoft Technology UK Community and Partner Awards
UK Microsoft Community Recognition Awards.
Although this isn’t an event, the awards ceremony is held as part of Scottish Summit. Along with being sponsored by them, it’s also sponsored by South Coast Summit (which is where it was held last year). Second year in a row you can vote for those in the community who you feel have gone above and beyond in sharing and helping others. You can find out more using the link in the button, and go directly to the nomination form here: UK Community Awards 2024 Nomination Form
