Not long to wait till the Wave 1 2025 release notes come out, but not quite ready for this week. Still, lots to keep you informed on what’s going on on the Mar-Tech world, and some cool stuff related to Customer Insights, but Journeys and Data.

Create Email Templates Using Custom HTML In Realtime Marketing
Megan V. Walker
I’m a huge advocate for using the out of the box email template editing experience in Customer Insights – Journeys. It’s got a great drag and drop interface and it works well. However, you might outsource your email creation to a 3rd party agency, or perhaps you are even coming from another email tool and don’t want to have to start all over again. Well, the good news is, you can create email templates using custom HTML and just paste in to the editor. The bad news is, unless you really want EVERYTHING LOCKED DOWN, if you just paste the HTML and walk away, the users sending out the emails won’t have the ability to edit anything about them. In this post, I will walk through some of the common things you might want to adjust in your custom HTML email templates. Take a deep breath and let’s take a look!

Lead and Contact form Insights tab in Customer Insights - Journeys (without editing Form XML)
Amey Holden
Amey has found something pretty cool, a newer and much easier way to add the Lead and Contact form Insights tab to a form without having to edit the XML. This was annoying when it first came out, and Amey came to the rescue then on how to do it. Now she has noticed it can be added directly to the forms via the maker studio form designer. Hooray!

Chat 3 - Marketing Journeys - Real-time Chats
Megan V. Walker & Amey Holden
Amey and I have a little catch up, and chat about some new features that came out in December 2024, delve in to the changes to forms with the ability to match against Leads AND Contacts at the same time, and dig in to how your Journeys are creating flows in Power Automate even if you didn’t realise it – all while loving Customer Insights – Journeys.

Customer Insights - Journeys Interaction Data in Customer Insights - Data
Renée van der Walt
This one is fun, Renée joins forces with her sister Lotte who is working as a Data Lead in the Dynamics, Power Platform, and Fabric domain. In this post she looks at building segments in Customer Insights – Data containing interaction data there instead. One to check out!
